As you probably know, making your digital communication more accessible has the potential to help you reach a larger audience.

And you’re right, more people will be able to access what you have to say.

While this is definitely a part of the picture, you should also be thinking about the people you’re already reaching.

Accessibility requires us to re-examine our regular practices to ask:

How well are we connecting with our existing community? How well do we understand and accommodate our current users?
